Take a break at Ansara

Few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to stay at Ansara hotel for one night. I’ve only been there for lunch, but I was pretty curious about this hotel, well-knowed for being a quiet place in the city center.

I was indeed pleasantly surprised by these “rumors”: in the middle of the crowded Mekong border area, you have the serene place of Ansara. The hotel consists in 4 small buildings, with a pool in a center, and … Many trees ! All this green makes you feel far away from the concrete and the gaz of the streets.

The room had a view of the garden and was tastefully decorated: sober colors, and some photographies here and there. The atmosphere is so quiet that falling asleep in the middle of the afternoon is absolutely not a problem !

We had dinner at the restaurant, called La Signature – open to the public for lunch and dinner – just saying – and, once again, I was not disappointed by the quality of the food. There are several menus, but you can also choose à la carte dishes.

Talking about signature, the restaurant’s one is definitely generosity and fine French food.

Unsurprisingly, the breakfast was good. Varied choice of savory and sweet dishes: porridge, eggs, salads like taboulé, viennoiseries and pastries, homemade bread… A generous breakfast to get enough energy for the day to come (Farniente is hard) !

For those who don’t have time to go “elsewhere” but want to relax, Ansara Hotel is a good deal to take a breath, to take a break in the center of Vientiane !
