These times, I am craving for Japanese food, and I rediscover the warm atmosphere and tasty food from Yokohama Restaurant.
Owned by a lovely Japanese woman, Yokohama makes honor with dishes, as its name suggests, from this province.
For lunch, whatever meat you choose, the set includes one bowl of round rice and one bowl of Miso soup. My favourites are definitely their “Suteki”, which means steak: Chicken, pork or Salmon. All come with delicious sauteed vegetables and a potato salad, Piémontaise style (yes, in plus of the rice and the soup). So you just go out from there completely full.
Oh, almost forgot to mention these Soooooooooo delicious sauces served alongside as dip: one is more like a Béarnaise, the other is more creamy, similar to a lemon cream sauce. Very very very tasty !
For dinner, note they close at 11PM, so you can still order food pretty late. They don’t have delivery service (yet ?), but you can call to place your order and go to pick up your dinner.
I particularly like the Avocado and Salmon bowl: some pieces of Avocado and raw salmon, over perfumed rice, seasoned with a sesame sauce. On the top, some wakame seaweed.
As all Japanese restaurants, Yokohama offers of course a selection of their famous whisky. I can’t unfortunately drink it (yeah, it’s like I sip one glass and I fall down lol) !
They do also have a selection of Local Lao Rum from “Laodi”.
