[Flashback] Lao Fashion Week 2015

Because in less than 2 weeks (12-16.09), the Lao Fashion Week will be held for its 3rd edition, it’s the perfect occasion to throw back to the previous one.

What is the Lao Fashion Week ?

The Lao Fashion Week has been founded in order to promote local designers, but also to put Lao Fashion industry and brands to International level.

“Fashion for a good cause”: to go further the shows, auction were held to raise funds for the winner of the Young Designers Projects. The aim of it? The winner wins a 6 months internship in Esmod, the prestigious Fashion school in Paris, France. A great award when you are passionated, don’t you think ?

For its 2nd edition, Lao Fashion Week showcased designers from Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, and of course, talented Lao ones as well.

Edition 2015

The first day was marked by the official opening of Lao Fashion Week 2015, with a very nice exhibition of Embroideries at Mercure Hotel.

Followed by 3 days of Fashion shows… I guess no comments are needed, just have a look at the pictures and enjoy the beautiful creations.

I had a particular crush for Ministry of Silk collection, associating Lao traditional and “falang” design.

Prefall Lao fashion week 2016

In last January, Lao Fashion Week Board launched the 3rd edition 2016, which seems to be bigger than ever ! Held in Vientiane Center, Officials, Journalists and fans, curious to know more about this succesful event, attended to the Prefall.
